A Developer position has arisen working primarily with the Oracle Identity Manager product managing user identities and provisioning logon access to end users. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced developer to move into the Identity Manager space as our client is willing to train in this area.
The successful candidate will be working with existing Analysts and Developers, you will be required to specify comprehensive solutions, taking responsibility for writing technical specifications, code development, unit testing and deployment. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with existing members of the team to achieve success.
The role requires a rigid focus on delivery of agreed milestones within timescales as development is performed in line with a strictly controlled release schedule. These releases contain a mixture of product fixes, patches and new or revised functionality delivered as part of the business project portfolio.
Other responsibilities will include working closely with analysts to scope out technical solutions, attending project meetings, providing quotes, estimates and providing a point of contact for business projects.

Experience in Technical Design, Development, Testing, Implementation and Support.
Proven ability for working closely with Analysts and other Developers on both a technical and non-technical basis, to have the ability to communicate technically with those who need technical explanations, but also to be able to explain clearly and concisely in a non-technical way.
The ability to deliver software solutions to specified standard using a variety of platforms and languages including:
– Java / J2EE Programming
– Java Server Pages
– Java Frameworks (such as Struts)
– Enterprise Java Beans
– Java Messaging Service
– Websphere Application Server
– Rational Application Developer
Experience of the Identity Management process is desirable, and in particular experience of the Oracle Identity Manager Toolset would be extremely desirable.
Involvement in the Development Process and an ability to put forward workable solutions to problems along with the willingness and ability to technically challenge other solutions if necessary, and to Peer Review other developers work.
A good understanding of Source Code Management and automated build processes. Preferably using Rational ClearCase as the Source Code repository.Apply for this job
